I’m Vlad, an Architectural Designer driven by the belief that calm, intelligent design can improve how we live every day.

My Vision
I’ve always been drawn to the quiet ways design shapes everyday life — how proportions guide movement, how light changes a room, and how small decisions can transform comfort. Before founding Monocromo, I spent years studying how people truly live in their homes, refining an approach that is both methodical and deeply personal.
My work isn’t about a fixed style. I listen first, then shape each project around your routines, priorities, and long-term needs. The result is architecture that feels calm, balanced, and carefully tuned — timeless in character, realistic in budget, and responsive to the way you live.
Whether I’m improving the flow of a London terrace, designing a new build, or delivering a low-energy retrofit, my focus is always the same: thoughtful design, durable materials, and spaces that feel good today and continue to work for you for years to come.
Mindful Environmental Approach
Motion design utilizes animated elements, typography, illustrations, and other graphic elements to tell stories, convey messages, and communicate information in a visually engaging and memorable way.
Built for the Future
A well-designed home should stand the test of time—both structurally and in the way it supports life’s evolving needs. By focusing on durable construction, adaptable layouts, and enduring design principles, I create homes that remain practical, efficient, and inviting for years to come—economically, environmentally, and architecturally.
Beyond work
Outside of work, I’m happiest in the quieter parts of the day — cooking dinner for my family, trying new recipes, and slowing the pace after a busy studio day.
I share most of my walks with Bery (with one “r”) — a Labrador who has the energy of a small bear and occasionally joins me in the office.
I spend as much time outdoors as I can: walking through woods, following rivers, or just being near water. The landscape, and the way it changes with light and weather, is a constant source of calm and inspiration for my work.
